House of Delegates

In-Person and Virtual Regional Delegate Conferences (RDCs) April 25-28

The Regional Delegate Conferences (RDCs) start next weekend! RDC registration closes Thursday, April 23. Get ready to roll up your sleeves with your delegate colleagues to review the policy recommendations before the virtual House in May and the in-person House of Delegates meetings in June. Review these important RDC documents and be sure to download or print the following as they become available on the page:

    • RDC Agenda (In-Person)

    • RDC Agenda (Virtual)

    • Board of Directors Reports on Policy Recommendations

    • Report of the Committee on Resolutions

    • Treasurer’s Report

The main purpose of the RDCs is to ensure that delegates have a thorough understanding of the policy recommendations coming to the House of Delegates. To promote that understanding, we’re asking all delegates attending the RDCs to introduce one or more policy recommendations. You should have received an email in the past two weeks about the policy recommendations you’ll introduce. To help prepare for your introductions, ASHP provided talking points about every policy recommendation, and a brief recording of a policy recommendation presentation has been posted to ASHP Connect as an example to assist you. In addition, at the RDCs an ASHP staff member will introduce the first policy recommendation as a model.

    Policy Recommendations on ASHP Connect

All policy recommendations under consideration by the House of Delegates are listed on the right side of the HOD Connect community home page for ease of access. ASHP Connect will be very active over the course of the RDCs, so be certain to monitor the postings regularly. Feedback from the various RDCs will be posted in real time as circumstances allow.

    Candidates for ASHP Offices

The slates of candidates for President-Elect and Directors will be announced shortly before the RDCs. Information about the candidates will be added to the RDC materials and presented to attendees. The full report of the Committee on Nominations, including candidate biographies and statements, will be available on the ASHP website by mid-May.

    Upcoming House of Delegates Meetings

May Virtual House. ASHP may conduct a virtual House May 8-14. I will provide more details as they become available soon after the RDCs conclude, so please mark your calendars and stay tuned.

June Meeting Attendance and Delegate Registration. Planning is underway to conduct the House of Delegates at the June 13-17 Pharmacy Futures 2026 meeting in St. Louis, Missouri. Delegates and alternates must register to attend the meeting and check in on site with delegate registration. Your participation as a delegate does not automatically register you for the meeting. Please note the times of the following events. Attendance at these events is an expectation of delegate service.

    • First Delegate Caucus: June 14, 9:30–11:30 am

    • First Meeting of the House: June 14, 1–5 pm

    • Second Delegate Caucus: June 16, 12:15–2 pm

    • Second Meeting of the House: June 16, 4–6 pm

I will host a Delegate Primer and the Open Forum for members on Saturday, June 13. While these events are not mandatory, they are highly recommended for delegates. Please consult the Meetings-at-a-Glance for additional details regarding June House of Delegates events. I will share more information about the June House of Delegates in future emails.

    Looking Forward to the RDCs!

ASHP Board members and staff look forward to working with you during the RDCs. Thank you again for your commitment to the ASHP policy process.

    Best Regards,

    J Hogue Sig
