Preparing for the June

House of Delegates

May 19, 2026

House of Delegates

Preparing for the June House of Delegates at the Pharmacy Futures 2026 Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri

We look forward to seeing you at the in-person June House of Delegates meetings this year! Below are some actions delegates should take before or soon after they arrive.

Register for the Pharmacy Futures meeting and as a delegate. Before arriving in St. Louis, all delegates must register to attend the Pharmacy Futures meeting. Upon arrival, you also need to register on-site as a delegate or alternate delegate. Delegates and alternates register at the delegate registration desk in the America’s Center Convention Complex, Level 1, Washington Lobby, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 7 - 11 a.m. on Sunday. Delegates who miss those hours can register in the Executive Office (Executive Conference Center, Room 360, Level 3) after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Please be sure to block out time on your calendars for the following important meetings, as they are an expectation of delegate service:

    • First Delegate Caucus: June 14, 9:30–11:30 a.m., Level 2, Room 231

    • First Meeting of the House: June 14, 1–5 p.m., Level 1, Hall 3

    • Second Delegate Caucus:June 16, 12:15–2 p.m., Level 2, Room 231

    • Second Meeting of the House:June 16, 4–6 p.m., Level 1, Hall 3

Please consult the Meetings-at-a-Glance for additional details regarding June House of Delegates events. The Open Forum for Members and the Delegate Primer are highly recommended.

Download and review the documents for the House of Delegates. All documents for the June House meetings will be made available on the ASHP House of Delegates website soon, but the following are available now:

    • House of Delegates Agenda

    • Report on the November Virtual House

    • Report on the March Virtual House

    • Report of the Committee on Resolutions

    • Board Reports on Policy Recommendations for the June Meeting

    • First Delegate Caucus Agenda

    • Second Delegate Caucus Agenda

    • Open Forum Agenda

    • Treasurer’s Report

Although there should be internet access in the House meeting room, we strongly suggest that you download or print all the materials you will need at the meetings in advance.

Let us know if you will not be able to serve as a delegate. If you are a state delegate who will not be able to serve during the June meetings, please contact your state affiliate as soon as possible so an alternate can be appointed. Please note that delegates are considered certified only if the communication is sent to ASHP (affiliates@ashp.org) from a president or executive of an ASHP-affiliated state society. Other delegates who are unable to participate should contact ASHP directly. If your state delegation must replace a delegate with an alternate after the Sunday meeting, the alternate should arrive at the ASHP Executive Office (Executive Conference Center, Room 360, Level 3) before 3 p.m., or see ASHP’s Hannah Vanderpool in the House meeting room no later than 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday.

Submit proposed amendments. Many thanks to the delegates who submitted proposed amendments in response to the post-RDC survey. Delegates are hard at work on amendments to most of the policy recommendations.

It’s not too late to join one of the consensus amending efforts or to propose an amendment of your own. The goal is to have consensus amending language posted on the ASHP Connect House of Delegates Community by Wednesday, May 27. Delegates are asked to submit final proposed amending language by 9 a.m. ET Friday, June 12, so it can be included in the Report on Proposed Amendments that will be posted to ASHP Connect and available on the House website by June 13.

Start thinking about recommendations and new business items. Recommendations and new business items may be submitted online or on paper at the meeting. The deadline for new business is 4 p.m. CT June 15, and recommendations may be submitted online until 4 p.m. CT June 16 or on paper at the first and second meetings of the House.

    ASHP-PAC Delegates Competition Leaderboard Update

The ASHP-PAC House of Delegates Competition is off to a robust launch! The Idaho, Indiana, and Ohio delegations have had a strong start with their support of ASHP‑PAC.

Contributions made to ASHP’s political action committee (ASHP-PAC) between Jan. 1 and June 15, 5 p.m. will count toward your state delegation’s participation in the competition. Recurring contributions made during the competition term will count 2x towards a state’s total. Delegates and alternates who contribute will receive an invitation to attend the ASHP-PAC Contributors Luncheon during Pharmacy Futures in St. Louis.

ASHP-PAC gives pharmacists a strong voice on Capitol Hill and is a valuable tool in ASHP’s work to advance our public policy agenda. Your contributions help ASHP educate members of Congress about the issues that matter to you, including protecting funding for pharmacy residency programs, safeguarding the 340B Drug Pricing Program, shoring up the drug supply chain, ensuring patient access to pharmacists’ services, and more.

For more information, check out the competition FAQ or contact ASHP's government relations staff at 301-664-8777 or gad@ashp.org.

Thank You for Serving as a Delegate

As always, I encourage you to reach out to me should you have any questions. Thank you for your commitment to the ASHP policy process. I look forward to seeing you during our upcoming meetings in St. Louis!

    Best Regards,

    J Hogue Sig
